BE IN NATURE NON PROFIT *
We provide Nature-Led, experiential education that nurtures curiosity, ecological awareness, and equitable access to the outdoors.
Our mission is to nurture awe, curiosity, and care for nature through hands-on learning, ancestral ecological knowledge, and long-term mentoring. Rooted in equity, access, and reverence for the land, we bring environmental education directly into local parks and open spaces.
Be In Nature offers unique programming for diverse learners, designed to help children thrive in outdoor, hands-on, and supportive environments.
Why Families Love It:
Sensory-Friendly: Outdoor, nature-based settings
Flexible & Predictable: Weekly/monthly rhythms
Hands-On & Multimodal: Learning through movement, visuals, games, and tactile activities
Small Groups: Low student-to-staff ratios for personalized attention
Respectful of Communication Differences: Honoring each child’s way of participating
Child-Led Exploration: Interest-based activities increase engagement and confidence
Positive & Inclusive Community: Supportive environment for all children
Rooted in Wonder, our year-round outdoor mentorship program, serves urban youth (ages 5–18) across Santa Clara County—creating opportunities for nature connection where it’s needed most.
“We need acts of restoration, not only for polluted waters and degraded lands, but also for our relationship to the world.“ - Robin Wall Kimmerer
