Fledgling Forest Explorers
Ages: 3 - 5 yrs old
Fledgling has their PPP independence. I can poop, I can pack and I can play!
Teachers: Teacher Roni and Marisa
Our Fledgling Forest Explorers program begins the process of Nature Led Immersion in the early stages of childhood development. Our intentions will be to promote a sense of belonging in nature and all its creatures, as well as connections with fellow students. Our Staff is skilled at nurturing the sensory integrative awareness skills for young children, and Parents have the opportunity to learn alongside their children each week! We plan to explore our expansive park or farmland bases at each class location.
Our Fledgling Explorer Summer Camp begins our day Gratitude circle and in song.
After this time we find a peaceful spot for snack and story, before we begin our wander, explore and adventure time!
We will share Songs and Stories with creative guidance from experienced BEan Staff.
As we grow our confidence, we will move out from our base camp and hike, explore our local habitat, streams, and forests, and play together.
On celebration day — our final day of camp — we may fold in with our whole camp tribe on some simple sweet ways for fire and food and stories.

“What an incredible leadership program and camp. It offered my daughter a multitude of learning experiences. She not only deepened her understanding of nature but also honed her skills in interacting with her peers and fellow campers. Furthermore, she learned the significance of teamwork and how to support others effectively. Marissa has been an outstanding teacher and mentor, and Payton is eagerly looking forward to future summers.”
“Each year my kids ask to come back to Bean In Nature. The staff is caring and attentive. They have the know how to engage kids in varied activities and connect with nature. Thank you !”
“Our daughter has attended various BEan in Nature summer camps and the ongoing weekly Earth Education Program on Wednesdays. The positive impact to her overall development, both educationally and socially has been hugely significant. Her appreciation of nature and its fragility, increased empathy demonstrated by working collaboratively with others, and being receptive of different opinions are just a few of the areas she has grown during her time at BEan in Nature.”
